About Me

Your home should feel like your home, not like a showroom someone else designed.

I created HandyCraftsHub around one simple belief: real homes are lived in, and the advice you follow should reflect that. Everything I publish is built on hands-on experience with home organization, decor, DIY, and home improvement.

Whether you are refreshing one room, organizing a small apartment, or planning a larger renovation, my goal is to share guidance that has been tested in real homes, not copied from other websites.

I believe practical advice should actually work in everyday life. That means no generic tips, no recycled lists, and no ideas that only look good in perfectly staged photos.

Hi, I’m Molly Catherine

I am the founder and editor of HandyCraftsHub, and I started this blog because I became frustrated with home advice that looked beautiful online but simply did not work in real life.

Over the years, I have worked through countless home organization challenges, from maximizing storage in small apartments to completely redesigning rooms to make them more functional. Every project taught me something new, and those lessons became the foundation of this website.

Before I publish anything, I either test it myself or spend time researching it carefully. If an organizational system falls apart after a busy week or a decorating idea only works for a photo, it does not belong here.

I want every article to respect your time, your budget, and your home.

Why I Started This Blog

The honest answer is simple.

I was tired of reading articles that were clearly written to generate clicks instead of helping people.

Many decorating ideas looked amazing in photos but were impossible to maintain. Organizational systems sounded great until real life got busy. The same advice appeared on dozens of websites without anyone actually testing whether it worked.

So I started documenting my own projects.

I took notes on every room I organized, every storage system I tried, every layout that failed, and every improvement that made daily life easier.

As time passed, I realized many people were looking for exactly the same thing: honest guidance from someone who had actually done the work.

That became HandyCraftsHub.

Everything I publish comes from real experience, careful research, or both.

A Few Things About Me

A few fun facts about me:

  • I rearranged my living room four different times before finding a layout I truly loved.
  • I have tested more drawer organizers than I can honestly count.
  • Every organization system I recommend has to survive what I call a “busy Tuesday morning.”
  • The notebooks I filled while improving my own home eventually became the foundation of this website.
  • I never get tired of seeing a great before-and-after transformation.

How I Create Content

Every article follows the same process before it goes live.

Most ideas come from my own projects, questions readers ask, or gaps I notice in existing home advice.

I spend time researching every topic using reliable sources alongside my own experience. Then I review everything for clarity, accuracy, and practicality before publishing.

I do not publish content simply to stay on a schedule.

If I do not have something genuinely useful to share, I would rather wait.

As I continue learning and testing new ideas, I revisit older articles and update them whenever better solutions become available.

My goal is always the same: to help you make better decisions for your home.
